Acer H6518BD vs BenQ W700 DLP Projector Comparison
Home Cinema DLP Projector Showdown
After upgrading the projector in my Home Cinema setup from a BenQ W700 to a Acer H6518BD I figured I would do an old vs new projector comparison. Both projectors were aimed at the same target market, with similar price points, so how has technology moved forward over 3-4 years? The answer is in this video:
Summary
The Acer H6518BD is brighter, slightly smaller and has more features.
Ok, so it’s pretty obvious to say the newer Acer machine is better but if you’re in the market for a second-hand projector then you could do worse than the BenQ W700 it just depends on your setup and if you can manage your expectations.
It’s also worth mentioning that this is the third Acer projector I have no purchased (with work) and each machine has been fantastic. I think the days of Acer being recognized as a cheap and nasty brand are well and truly behind them.
I always buy from projectorshop24.com as they’re prices are good and their staff and fantastic.

I’ve also upgraded my 5.1 surround sound system as well, but more on that when I get a chance to write it all up, but I used a HDMI receiver, hence the reason why I only need 1 HDMI input on my projector. Depending on your setup, you might need more.
